Prize Lectures
Each year, the Microbiology Society awards six Prize Lectures in recognition of significant contributions to microbiology. All members are invited to nominate an outstanding microbiologist for a Microbiology Society Prize.

Early Career Microbiologist of the Year Competition
The Microbiology Society awards a prize to a member presenting a poster or offered paper at the Society's Annual Conference or Irish Division meeting.

Undergraduate Microbiology Prize
A prize will be awarded annually to the undergraduate student, in each qualifying institution, who performs best in microbiology in the second year of a Bachelor's degree.

Infection Science Award
The Infection Science Award is an exchange scheme that facilitates the most promising trainee and early career presenters from the Federation of Infection Societies (FIS) Annual Conference (Infectious Disease Futures session) to present at the Microbiology Society Annual Conference (Infection Forum) and vice versa.
